DP candidate accepts loss in revote

DP candidate, Lombo Erkhembayar who stood in the revote for the parliamentary election in Songinokhairkhan electoral district agreed with the result of the revote today, April 16th.

The General Election Committee announced the preliminary results of the revote, reveling that MPP candidate Dolgorsuren Sumiyabazar won with 54 percent of the vote and DP candidate Lombo Erkhembayar lost with 46 percent of the vote after Sunday’s re-polling for the parliamentary election.

DP had claimed that the Songinokhairkhan electoral district had violated the law by illegally finishing the re-polling at 8:00 pm before the fixed finishing time of 10:00 pm.

However DP candidate Lombo Erkhembayar agreed with the results, accepting his loss in the revote for the parliamentary election and announced that he would end his political career today.

The 26th Electoral District which ran the revote for the parliamentary election on Sunday has not yet announced the final results of the revote publicly.
