Tony Blair, former UK Prime Minister, visits Mongolia

Yesterday it was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair will be visiting Mongolia today, March 22nd. It was announced that Mr Blair would be conducting an official visit, but the nature of the visit and those who he would be meeting were not revealed.

In July 2012 the former Prime Minister of the UK received the President of Mongolia, Ts. Elbegdorj, to congratulate Mongolia’s success in securing democracy and encouraging human rights.

Blair, a former British Prime Minister, was leader of the Labour Party from 1994 to 2007, revolutionising the Labour Party using “New Labour” slogans and strategies. Blair is now an official Envoy to the Middle East and an advisor to the JPMorgan Chase investment bank. He also formed the Tony Blair Associates, a service that offers commercial and pro bono advice on political and economic trends and governmental reforms. A recent new contract made by Blair with Kazakhstan has raised controversy in the media.
