Rural Women Receive Medical Services in Inner Mongolia

The Arun Banner Women's Federation arranged for medical workers to provide free health check-ups and medical services to 120 rural women in Xinsheng Village, Liuhe Town, Arun Banner, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, on March 4, 2013.

A local woman named Hou Xiaoping was very glad to receive a thorough check-up and said that she was deeply touched by the efforts made by the federation and the medical workers.

The Arun Banner Women's Federation also held lectures on women's health. Experts were invited to teach rural women how to prevent and cure common diseases. They also distributed 2,000 informational flyers and medicine worth more than 10,000 yuan (US$ 1,609).
