Mongolian Ambassador presents credentials to Turkish President

The new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary from Mongolia to the Republic of Turkey, Batkhishig Badamdorj, presented his diplomatic credentials to the President of Turkey, Abdulla Gul, in Ankara Turkey on Friday March 8th.

President Abdulla Gul accepted the new Ambassador, Batkhishig Badamdorj`s credentials and welcomed him to the position.

Ambassador Batkhishig Badamdorj conveyed the Mongolian President, Elbegdorj Tsakhia`s, greetings to President Abdulla Gul and stated his gratitude to being able to serve as Ambassador in Turkey meanwhile expressing his hopes that the President will visit Mongolia in the near future. Turkey, the third neighbor of Mongolia, has good historical and cultural relations that go back hundreds of years.

Ambassador Batkhishig expressed that Mongolia is willing to deepen bilateral friendly relations and partnerships in every sector with the Turkish Government. Particularly he emphasised to increase trade relations between Mongolia and Turkey, encouraging Turkish direct investment into Mongolia to support the restructure of the ger districts, build up apartments, to introduce new technology, launch cooperation in the energy industry and boost tourism and travel based on Turkic remains in Mongolia.

In return President Abdulla Gul congratulated the Ambassador for his new role and wished to convey his greetings to the Mongolian President, Elbegdorj Tsakhia. President Abdulla Gul emphasized that Turkish businessmen are greatly interested in Mongolia, stating the importance of introducing the Mongolian business environment to Turkish businessmen in order to strength bilateral economic and trade cooperation and attract investment.
