”Mongolia Economic Forum 2013”

The "Mongolia Economic Forum 2013" begins today, 4th March, at the Government Palace. During the two-day forum economists, decision makers and social community representatives will hold a wide range of discussions to determine what economic barriers there are and how to solve pressing issues, and find a solution.

Discussions in the forum will focus on main issues such as the World`s biggest problems including “Water Source Protection”, the “Development between state and private entities” and the “Green Economy and Green Development”.

This year these issues are expected to be raised again but the main issue to be discussed during the forum will be the Mongolian Brand.

On the first day of the forum representatives will focus solely on this issue and exchange views around the possibilities of Mongolian branded products in food and tourism, export routes and the economic environment, the labor market and human resources during a plenary session called “Business Environment and the Mongolian Brand”.

Honorary guest, Mrs Lakshmi Venkachatalam, Vice President of Asia and Mr Wim Kok, the former Prime Minister of the Netherlands will make speeches on world brands and their history.

Economists and experts will take a look at what is currently preventing the manufacture of goods, what problems private entrepreneurs face, how state agents block it and what can be as an innovation to help solve these problems.

Economists say that the importance of the forum is to give a real chance to representatives of the main sector to discuss economic development and the environment from behind a discussion table.

Mongolian Government will introduce its plans on what action to take in the sector during the forum.

Civilians, representatives and guest will see after this year’s forum if there will be any real results.
