MIAT passengers forced to wait 24 hours in airport

Berlin-Moscow-Ulaanbaatar MIAT flight ОМ136 was held up in Moscow on Sunday March 24th.

Over 120 passengers departed from Berlin on the routine flight but were delayed at 03.50 am Mongolian time in Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow on Sunday. The flight was delayed due to a damaged tire.

One passenger on the flight said “We passengers stayed over 24 hours in the airport. We all sat on the floor.”

But MIAT company responded by saying “The ОМ136 flight was delayed due to its tire being punctured. MIAT sent a spare tire and parts on an Aeroflot flight from Ulaanbaatar to Moscow. When the team receives the spare part it will change the tire and leave from Moscow after about three hours. The flight will fly for six hours from Moscow to Ulaanbaatar” at around 17.40 pm on Monday.

Mongolia’s biggest airline company made its passengers wait for 24 hours in the airport due to a technical failure. Therefore passengers complained about the flight staff failure to undertake their responsibility.
