Inner Mongolia Supports Needy Children

The Inner Mongolia Women's Federation and 13 charitable individuals from the Inner Mongolia Branch of China Telecommunications Corporation distributed subsidies totaling 16,000 yuan (US$ 2,574) and clothes to 16 Spring Bud students in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on March 15, 2013.

Vice President of Inner Mongolia Women's Federation Yun Cuirong attended the activity. Sponsored families and girls thanked the federation and individuals for their support and the students said that they would study hard to help more needy people in the future.

The Inner Mongolia Women's Federation has made several efforts to help needy students, including working together with charitable companies, groups and individuals to implement charity projects such as the Spring Bud project and the Heng'ai Action.

Launched in 1989 by the China Children and Teenagers' Fund, the Spring Bud project helps rural female dropouts return to school.
