Great medal harvest by Mongolian boxers in international tournaments

The Mongolian boxing team has won one silver and two bronze medals at the 2013 Asian Boxing Confederation (ASBC) Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships in Zambales, Philippines last week. Boxers O.Batzorig (weighing 64 kg) won silver, while O.Norovbal (60 kg) and D.Davaanyam (69 kg) both won bronze in their respective weight classes. Over 100 boxers from 21 Asian countries competed in the tournament.

The Mongolian boxing team also competed in the 44th Grand Prix Usti nad Labem in the Czech Republic. Boxers N.Tugstsogt (56 kg), who also recently won the Chemistry Cup in Halle, Germany, and Z.Enkhzorig (64 kg) both won gold, and B.Tuvshinbat (69 kg) took silver. A total of 107 boxers from 21 countries of Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa participated in this event, including several Olympic and World Championship medalists.
