‘Crazy Mouse’ roller coaster waits for ‘milder’ weather

The much-awaited ‘Crazy Mouse’ roller coaster being built at the National Amusement Park in Ulaanbaatar will be completed when the weather becomes ‘milder’, according to a statement released by the park’s Public Media Officer.

The park’s Public Media Officer said that 80 percent of the assembly work of ‘Crazy Mouse’ roller coaster has been completed so far and assembly of the ride will resume when the weather improves. The park originally planned to launch the new roller coaster in October 2012, but assembly work stopped when the temperatures dropped in autumn last year. The inauguration date is still uncertain.

The amusement park’s spokesperson told reporters that China is the leading manufacturing of this type of roller coaster, so the ride was imported from China and Chinese engineers are assembling it. The roller coaster is 40 meters high, with two lanes of 650 meters in length, and can carry 24 people. Passengers can travel one loop in only two minutes. The cost of the ride hasn’t been determined yet, but it is expected to be around the same as other rides at the park.
