Senior members of MPP called for a unity

Over 10 senior members of the Mongolian People`s Party including Ts.Palkhaajav, Kh.Tsevlee, Z.Tserendondog, Ts.Adiya and Sh.Surenjav called for a unity of MPP and MPRP. During a meeting with U.Enkhtuvshin, the Head of MPP and D.Terbishdagva, Deputy Head of MPRP at the MPRP Palace they delivered their appeals on Thursday.

MPP elder members encouraged rival parties to respect unity.

The elder members accused the divide of the Mongolian People`s Revolutionary Party that was established in 1921, the oldest party of Mongolia, of being a mistake of a few brutal politicians. The party in 2010 reverted to its original name by dropping the word "Revolutionary", resulting in a split in the party where the breakaway faction retained the previous name.

The appeal delivered by the elder members of MPP says that “we elder members of MPP eagerly look forward to a rival of MPP and MPRP that we believe would clear up this divide because we need unity for our home land and people of Mongolia in order to look ahead.

The divide of MPRP was a result of reckless politicians. Ordinary members of the party were not involved in the dispute. But everyone`s effort is needed to reunite the party again. We should remember the saying “the more the merrier”. We are therefore calling for a unity of the two rival parties in order to take part in the upcoming presidential election.”
