Mongolian wrestlers to compete in international tournaments

Mongolian wrestlers will be competing in two upcoming international tournaments, the 41stannual Yasar Dogu tournament in Turkey, and the Dan Kolov – Nikola Petrov tournament this February in Bulgaria.

The international tournament named after renowned Turkish wrestler, Yasar Dogu, will take place on February 9 and 10 in Ankara, Turkey. It will bring together athletes from Turkey, the USA, Mongolia, South Africa, Germany, Moldova, Japan, Georgia, Canada, Iran, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Poland and Lithuania.

The 51st International Tournament of Dan Kolov – Nikola Petrov will take place in Plovdiv, Bulgaria between February 15 and 17.

Mongolian men’s wrestling will be represented by B.Nemekhbayar, and international sports master, E.Nyam-Ochir (60kg), as well as sports masters, B.Ankhbayar and P.Unurjav (74kg), M.Mendsaikhan (84kg), and N.Zolboo(120kg). Mongolia won’t be competing in the women`s events. The athletes are being trained by freestyle wrestling coach, T.Gansukh of the Javkhlant sports club, and J.Dandar, a teacher at School No 73.

International judge B.Tumurbaatar will be participating as a judge in the 51st International Tournament of Dan Kolov – Nikola Petrov.
