Former minister is questioned for power abuse

The former Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, T.Badamjunai, former State Secretary of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, T.Gantulga and the Director of the Light Industry Policy Implementation and the Coordination Department of the Ministry, N.Bayarmagnai have been questioned for fraudulent activity involving 500 million MNT budget capital of the Ministry from last summer.

The former senior officials have been investigated for allegedly using the defraud money in the June parliament election campaigns. Due to the case some unnamed politicians and former ministers and authorities who might be involved in the case are also being questioned by the State Prosecutor General`s Office.

A source close to the matter says the investigation is in progress.
