FAT starts flights to Angkor, Inner Mongolia

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Far Eastern Air Transport (FAT) has launched regular flights to Angkor, Cambodia, and chartered flights to the Chinese cities of Yinchuan and Hohhot to accommodate people traveling during the New Year's, the carrier said yesterday.

The flights from Taoyuan to Angkor and Yinchuan both began on Feb. 7, while the flight to Hohhot began Saturday, making travel between Taiwan and these places easier and more convenient, FAT said.

“The launch of the Taoyuan-Angkor flight symbolizes that the quality of our service has won the approval of travelers,” it said.

Yinchuan and Hohhot, both located in China's Inner Mongolia region, are cities with weather patterns that contrast sharply from Taiwan's. “People from both sides are attracted to each other, and all flights have been fully booked,” FAT said.

“In the future, we'll launch more flights to cities in China and other parts of Asia to offer more choices for Taiwan travelers,” the carrier said.
