Chess Palace to be build in Ulaanbaatar

During his visit to Mongolia on February 20th Kirsan Nikolayevich Ilyumzhinov, the President of FIDE (the World Chess Federation) said the Federation will support and cooperate with the Mongolian Chess Federation to organize international high ranking chess competitions in Ulaanbaatar city. 
 
Kirsan Nikolayevich Ilyumzhinov noted in his statement that it would be a great chance to promote the name of Mongolia by hosting Chess Grand Prix of women in 2014, World Youth Chess Championships in 2017.

Manager General of the Mongolian Chess Federation, B.Davaakhuu said that we have a deal with the President of FIDE (the World Chess Federation) to build a Chess Palace in Ulaanbaatar, possibly in a square of Lenin`s club. The Chess Palace is expected to be build to a plan and design proposed by the Federation.

The project tender will be announced later this year.
